Daily Freebies

There are quite a few daily freebies you can earn in Pokémon Let's Go. These are repeatable ways to rake in money or valuables that could potentially be sold. Because trainer battles are generally one time, it can be difficult to find regular sources of money. The following activities refresh daily, so you can have a consistent source of income.

Daily Nugget from visiting Diglett: Go to Fuchsia City and go into the first building to your right from the Pokécenter. You'll have to jump down the ledge but it's close. In there will be the man you brought the gold teeth. However, in the back corner is a brick you can move with strong push. Behind that brick is a Diglett that will give you a Nugget every day that you can sell for 5000 Pokédollars.
Daily Pearl from watching over Slowpoke: Go to Pewter City. In the northwest corner of the city, next to the Pewter Museum of Science, you'll see a Slowpoke and a woman standing next to it. Talk to the woman, and she will ask you to keep an eye on Slowpoke. In exchange for watching Slowpoke, you'll get a Big Pearl from her, which can be sold for 4000 Pokédollars. All you have to do is wait through a few scenes of nothing as you "watch" Slowpoke.
End Game Only - Cerulean Cave hidden item spawns: I opted not to include most daily spawns on items; however, the Cerulean Cave is an exception. In the bright spots in the Cerulean Cave, you can find a plethora of hidden items. Normally, most items you find wouldn't be worth enough to justify putting it in a money farming guide, but in this case, things are different. The hidden items in the Cerulean Cave has a high chance of being Golden Berries. Golden Berries can sell for a significant amount of Pokédollars, so it's well worth to run around the cave grabbing items. You could also do this while you're farming experience with Chansey catch combos too. For reference, Golden Berries sell for 2,500 Pokédollars each. Unfortunately, the Cerulean Cave only locks after you've beaten the Elite Four so this may not apply to everyone.

Pay Day TM

The special move "Pay Day" will throw coins when used on an enemy. The damage isn't great, but at the end of the battle, you'll collect Pokémoney for each time you used the ability. You'll earn your Pokémon's level multiplied by five for each time you use Pay Day. Over time, this nets you a lot of money and can be particularly useful to grind for Pokémoney before you have more intense endgame options.

To get the Pay Day TM, you need to beat the Coach Trainer on Route 3. He'll be just a short bit away from the entrance to Mt. Moon. It's pretty early in the game and odds are you wouldn't have missed it, but if you have, it's definitely worth a trip back to get it. The amount of money you rake in can be very significant, particularly if you're over-leveled and have no difficulties taking trainers down and don't have to risk losing a fight to make some extra money.

End Game Only - Repeatable Trainer Battles

After you beat the Elite Four, you unlock a bunch of repeatable battles that you can do for easy Pokémoney. I'm only going to call out a few of the best but there are others.

Re-battling the Elite Four

After beating the game, you can re-battle the Elite Four to once again prove your worth. More importantly, you get a lot of Pokédollars for doing it. You net around 70,000 Pokédollars for beating the Elite Four plus your rival again.

You do need to be a little bit stronger because they are more tough opponents this time around:

Their lineups will be about ten levels higher than they originally were
The Elite Four themselves now have a lineup of all six Pokémon, with an additional Alolan Pokémon as their sixth slot.
- Lorelei brings an Alolan Sandslash
- Bruno brings an Alolan Golem
- Agatha brings an Alolan Marowak
- Lance brings an Alolan Exeggutor

You can re-battle the Elite Four once a day. It can be a bit time consuming to go through all five fights, particularly because you have to go through several sequences at the end of the battles with Professor Oak. You may be better off focusing on other options until you have a team strong enough to do this quickly. If you do have a strong team, the way to go seems to be:

Use a level 100 Mewtwo with:
Psychic
Earthquake
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam

An argument can be made for lineups using Pay Day to pump even more Pokédollars into your pocket but it would also be much more tedious.

Battling Green

Green becomes available as soon as you catch Mewtwo in the Cerulean Cave. After catching Mewtwo, you can go back into the cave and find Green where you found Mewtwo. She's a bit strange and somewhat upset you caught Mewtwo first and will battle you. Her lineup is a bit tough but nothing you won't be able to handle.

After defeating her in the cave, you can repeatedly fight her again in Cerulean City. She drops a lot of Pokédollars so it's a worthwhile endeavor. She can be found near the fountain not far from the Pokécenter. However, you can only fight her once per time you beat the Elite Four.

Final Thoughts

In many cases, most trainers regularly progressing throughout the game may not be overly pinched on Pokémoney. However, if your gameplay style does involve spending a lot of money, rocking a Pay Day Pokémon and making your daily trips to Diglett and Slowbro should keep you well funded.

For endgame users where you need expensive stacks of Ultra Balls and other things, you may find that strategy insufficient. I personally aim to make a lot of my money from selling things I pick up in the Cerulean Cave as I'm grinding for Chansey experience to power level. If I really run out of money, then I will take a trip to the Elite Four and head over to Green after, all in all that cycle is about 90,000.
